A new level of partnership between server virtualization giant VMware and Scottsdale-based IT consultants cStor is bringing vast computing power and lower IT expenses to businesses in the region. cStor just announced that it has achieved Premier Partner level status with VMware, making cStor only the second partner of VMware in Arizona to achieve this prestigious level.

In order to reach this level of integration, cStor had to demonstrate requirements in technical expertise for Infrastructure Virtualization, Desktop Virtualization, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery along with reaching the substantial sales levels associated with a Premier Partner.

“We are proud we have been able to help so many customers use virtualization with VMware to save costs, automate their data centers and build private and hybrid cloud solutions,” announced Larry Gentry, President and COO of cStor.

Locally, cStor is known as a specialist in architecting and implementing complex data center solutions involving virtualization. Virtual servers provided by VMware reduce costs while providing high availability, application performance improvements and improved data protection techniques. That means that even small to medium sized businesses (SMB) can access world class computing power without worrying about security or maintenance issues.

A recent study from the Aberdeen Group found that SMBs using server virtualization, like VMware’s cloud-based solution delivered by cStor, were able to reduce deployment time for new applications by more than 53 percent. At the same time, the systems were more reliable as application downtime was cut by 30 percent. Expenses were reduced substantially by lower IT spending and reduced energy costs at a time when storage and processing needs increased by 32 percent on average.
